Jaiden Weisenberger is a Senior at Sahuaro High School. After four years of achieving numerous accomplishments and becoming one of the school’s athletic standouts, Jaiden is very excited to graduate with the class of 2026 on May 20th.
When it comes to life outside of his favorite sports, Jaiden shares many common interests with other students, such as adventuring outdoors, enjoying nature, and hiking on different trails and mountains.
Jaiden also enjoys spending his free time with close friends and family. He says that he enjoys reading novels even outside of school. He loves taking his classes at Sahuaro and maintaining good grades to remain eligible for sports. He says, “Ms. Daigle’s government class is my favorite class I’ve taken so far this year.
During his years at Sahuaro, he has spent four seasons as part of the school’s varsity track team and two on the varsity cross-country team, after participating in both sports in middle school. In his freshman year, Jaiden was part of our school’s football team, but he shared, “At the time I decided to focus on track and cross country, and I felt better about that.” Once he decided to focus on his favorite sports, his achievements, confidence, and opportunities blossomed.
Since then, Jaiden has proudly become the captain of the Sahuaro track team. His athletic achievements include setting the school’s fastest electronically recorded 400m, with a time of 49.93 seconds. It is no surprise that Jaiden was voted Sahuaro’s Most Athletic Senior for The Paper Cut Senior Superlatives. Jaiden says his team and his coaches have helped and supported him many times throughout the seasons. He says, “Thanks to my coaches and my teammates, I have built a great bond and friendship with everybody involved, and learned to have a great work ethic.”
At only 18 years old, Jaiden has achieved impressive accomplishments, leaving his coaches, teammates, and many others around him proud. Coach Lucius Miller, Sahuaro head track and field coach, says, “As the captain of our team, and the president of the school’s track club, Jaiden leads with maturity and purpose; he really sets a standard.” It will be no surprise if we continue to see Jaiden achieve even more impressive accomplishments later in life and throughout his athletic career.
