When I was little, I did T-Ball, flag football, gymnastics, dance, swim team, and soccer. I’ve been on a swim team outside of school for 7 years. I’ve played soccer for 7 years, including Varsity for 4 years, and I played volleyball from 8th to 11th grade.
Who is your favorite sports team?
My favorite sports team is the US Women’s National Soccer Team or the Toronto Maple Leafs.
What is your best sports-related memory?
There are too many to choose from, but reflecting on my improvements makes me happy, as well as the relationships I’ve built and the support I’ve received from my parents.

Tell us the funniest thing that has ever happened to you?
I was in my AP Statistics class, and as I was writing, a fly landed on my paper, and it shocked me so bad in a completely quiet class that I gasped very loudly and almost fell out of my chair.

Truthfully, I don’t think I can pinpoint a specific joke. I feel I am very natural with my voices, and they are all very heavily content-based. I don’t have any one-liners in mind.
What is the best prank you have pulled on a person or had pulled on you?
My friend was sleeping in class, and as the bell rang, he did not wake up, so I sent a photo of him sleeping, and our friends (and teacher) agreed to let him sleep through the class.

My favorite movie is Legally Blonde because I’ve always admired how, even when Elle was trying to prove her intelligence to Warner, she never lost sight of herself, her confidence, or her style.

No, I’ve performed on hundreds of stages throughout my life since before I could walk, and in comparison to dance competitions, local performances are nothing; the stage just feels like home to me.

My favorite role I’ve played was Abigail Williams in The Crucible; I’ve never gotten to play a villain, and it was crazy fun to just lose my mind on stage and smirk with malicious intent behind my eyes to scare the audience.

My favorite actor is Darren Criss because he’s not only an amazing actor and talented singer, but he’s also hilarious and a fabulous comedy writer. He also co-wrote and starred in my favorite musical of all time, A Very Potter Musical.

If you had to teach one subject, which one would it be and why?
I would teach English, because as much as math and science make sense to me, I really like to write and read, and being able to teach that sort of thing would be pretty neat.
Which subject is your least favorite and why?
While Mr. Davis is a really cool teacher, Physics has just been something that’s hard for me to understand because it’s very complicated within its calculations, which is rather random at times.
Which Sahuaro teacher has inspired you the most? Does that make you want to become a teacher?
If I were to become a teacher, I would credit a large portion of my inspiration to Ms. Dara. She’s just very interactive and kind to her students, and you can tell she really works hard because she loves what she does. I would want to bring that same energy and dedication to my classroom, too.
What is one creative lesson that you would teach?
I think a lesson I would try to incorporate would be a day where we discuss a century of political events and have a respectful debate. While you can argue this is a more government/history thing, it’s important to be able to communicate your opinions in a logical and conversational manner both inside and outside the classroom, which is where the English component comes in. While having fears is important, the lesson in particular would revolve more around the rhetorical and defensive claims in argumentative settings.

My main instrument is trumpet, but I am learning how to play piano. I used to play guitar in middle school.

The first instrument gifted to me was an electric blue guitar from my uncle.

What is the worst part of playing your instrument?
I had braces for 5 years, so every time I got them adjusted, I had to relearn how to play. I also have to stay hydrated, try my best not to have chapped lips or cuts in my mouth on top of not burning my tongue, because it affects how I play. So the worst part of playing is just having to be overly cautious all the time.
