Ashlynn de Madeira is one of Sahuaro’s many memorable and outstanding students. If you know her, you know how kind she is and how she lights up any room she walks into. She is known for her lovable and endearing personality, as well as her impeccable taste in clothing.
In addition to being memorable, Ashlynn is extremely intelligent. She has achieved numerous accomplishments throughout her academic journey and has maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA, which she was recognized for in the 2023-2024 academic year by the Asian Pacific American and Refugee Student Services.
Throughout her high school years, Ashlynn has been very involved in various activities. In her Junior year, she took the position of Parliamentarian in the Sahuaro’s Student Government. In Ashlynn’s Senior year, she ran for Student Body Treasurer, as well as joining the National Honor Society. “Fear kills dreams more than failure ever will,” Ashlynn says, when it comes to big steps like this in life.
When Ashlynn isn’t studying or completing her assignments, she will often be found volunteering for various events. She has not only helped in setting up many of our school events, but has also orchestrated many. She has volunteered helping out with the Robotics club here at Sahuaro, as well as setting up/cleaning up for the Freshman social, and raising money from fundraisers and selling baked goods. Ashlynn has said, “Being in Student Council has shown me what community is and how we’re really all in this together.”
Ashlynn loves to show school spirit, dressing up for every spirit week, for holidays, twin days, or even the silly days. She also helps out with hosting our pep assemblies and creates beautiful posters all around the school!
After graduating this year, Ashlynn plans to attend college at either the U of A or Pima. She wants to take classes in interior design and graphic design engineering. Currently, Ashlynn is taking a couple of AP classes, as well as being employed part-time at Taco Bell. She is always busy and thrives in a fast-pace enviorment.
In the free time that Ashlynn does have, her favorite things to do include spending time with her friends, whether it’s shopping, going out to eat, or having a sleepover. Her specialty is organizing and keeping her space tidy. Ashlynn loves to go thrifting for new outfits, as well as trying out new recipes – whether it’s baking or cooking- and spending quality time with her parents and pets. Ashlynn is an only child and loves to be surrounded by family. The 2026 class is fortunate to have Ashlynn apart of our Sahuaro student body, her positivity is contagious.
