We hope that you are ready for the kickoff of Winter Sports this week.
On Wednesday, November 20th the girls’ basketball team will play at home vs. Maricopa. The JV will start at 4:30 and the Varsity will play at 6pm. Tickets are $4.00. Also, on Wednesday our boys’ basketball team will travel to Maricopa for games at 4:00, 5:30 and 7:00 pm.
On Thursday, our girls’ soccer team will travel to Desert View for a scrimmage game at 4:00 pm. Our boys’ soccer scrimmage has been cancelled.
Attention! All girls interested in playing softball, today is the start of open practices after school every Monday. You must be cleared through the activities office before you can attend.
Attention Cougars! Did you see the marching band this fall and wish you could be part of the action? Now’s your chance to join us for the winter and spring season! We’re recruiting new members for our Winter Drumline and Winter Color Guard, and no musical experience is necessary to join. Both groups will compete separately and travel all over the state, performing in exciting competitions. For more details, come to an in-person informational meeting in the band room after school on 11/21. Or ask a current band member for a QR code or Mr. Guzman for more information. Don’t miss out on this chance to be part of something unforgettable!
On Monday, November 18th there will be a family night from 5:30-6:30 in the cafeteria. Students and families are encouraged to attend to learn more about what Sahuaro offers and how families can support students in their education journey. There will be fun activities and refreshments provided. We hope to see you there!

Student council will be selling thankful grams at lunch in the cafeteria this week for 50 cents. They will be delivered on Nov 26. Show your appreciation for someone and buy them a thankful gram!
Seniors, if you signed up for the GCU Campus visit your signed permission slip is due tomorrow, Tuesday November 19th. If you do not turn in your permission slip tomorrow you will not be able to attend. Please see Mr. Haynes if you have any questions.
