Ylena Gross is a junior who just recently transferred to Sahuaro and joined The Paper Cut from a prep high school in Phoenix that recruited her to play basketball, something she’s really passionate about.  Ylena has been playing basketball her whole life; it’s been the one thing that has been consistent in her life. She moved around a lot as a kid because her dad is in the Air Force and has been reassigned every 2 to 3 years to a new base. Ylena has lived in 4 different places her whole life; in fact, she lived in South Korea from age 6, and recently moved back to the United States in 2021. In her free time, she likes to play the piano and play video games. Ylena looks forward to writing for The Paper Cut and being part of something so special here at Sahuaro.
