Nathan Fitzgerald, reporter
Nathan Fitzgerald never cared much for school throughout most of his life. If it were up to him, he would drop out and go to work because he finds it preferable to work in the sun all day rather than do schoolwork, which never really feels like he’s accomplishing anything. He thinks it is more helpful to work with his father in metal fabrication and handyman work, enjoying the feeling of creating a 100-foot fence for somebody or being able to drive over there and say, “I built that!” However, since not very many people in his family actually graduated, his father asked him for one thing: to graduate from high school so he could start in a better position than he was when he was a kid. And so, Nathan is trying to pass high school after years of not paying attention and just failing from elementary school to high school. He is striving to finally pass, and while he has a long way and 8 classes to make up by the end of the year, he is at least going to try.
