Michael Thomas joined The Paper Cut this year. Born and raised in Tucson, Michael has interests in motorcycles, food, space, and human biology. He has had type 1 diabetes for two years, being diagnosed at 14. He has been learning Italian for almost a year and loves to work with his hands to fix and build things, such as model engines and planes. Michael’s favorite plane is the ME 262, the world’s first jet-propelled aircraft, and his favorite car is the 1990 Dodge Viper, featuring a V10 engine.
He has plans to earn his culinary degree from Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts in Boulder, CO, and open an Italian cafe after he earns his degree, with a medieval Italy theme that has a pet-friendly dining area, featuring a game room in the back for card games and tabletop games. Michael’s favorite dishes to cook are steak lasagna with a wine sauce and chicken gnocchi.
