After last year’s yearbook fell short of expectations, leaving the school in debt to the publishing company due to low orders, the future of our yearbook seemed uncertain. However, Ms. Good, one of our English teachers, is taking over this year’s yearbook.
Ms. Good has completely overhauled the yearbook process, starting with the software used to design it. “This year’s yearbook looks amazing compared to the very basic ones we’ve had recently,” she said. “I’m excited about all the photos and moments we’ve captured. It’s going to be an awesome keepsake for students to remember their high school years.”
The 2025 yearbook, titled Unforgettable, is packed with exciting new features. Pages highlighting best friends, duos, families, couples, pets, and cars will make the yearbook more personal for the students. Ms. Good also encourages student involvement, giving everyone a chance to leave their mark. Students can submit photos of their pets, cars or trucks, or personal artwork, with a submission deadline of February 22. Submissions should be emailed to [email protected].
Seniors and their families have another important deadline: February 22 is the last day for parents to purchase Senior Ads for their graduating students. These ads are a wonderful way to celebrate milestones and achievements. Senior ads and copies of the yearbook can either be purchased through the finance office or online. To purchase online, you simply go to Sahuaro’s website and click Payments.
Creating the yearbook has not been easy, but Ms. Good is up to the challenge. “There are so many moving parts when it comes to making a yearbook—scheduling photos for every club, attending games for photos—it’s a lot of work,” she said. Despite the demands, her passion and skill in graphic design and photography are evident. “I saw the potential for the yearbook to be incredible, and I wanted to make it happen.”
One of the highlights of this year’s yearbook process is the special photo sessions planned for Valentine’s Day week and a photo shoot for best friends. These sessions add a fun, interactive element to the yearbook and create lasting memories.
The yearbook will be available for purchase until its scheduled delivery on May 1. At $90, it’s an investment in preserving the moments that define our high school experience. There will be plenty of time for students to have their yearbooks signed by friends and teachers before the school year ends.
This year’s unforgettable yearbook showcases Ms. Good’s hard work and vision. With her dedication and the support of students and staff, it promises to be a significant improvement over last year’s edition and a keepsake worth cherishing.
