Another year means another iPhone. This time, it’s the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
This year, Apple is doing something different. They’re switching over to USB-C cables. This cable can charge the iPhone, Mac, and iPad, and can charge up to 50% in 30 minutes.
Are you a fan of pastels? The iPhone 15 comes in 5 different colors: Pink, Blue, Green, Yellow, and Black. The edges of the iPhone are made of 75% recycled aluminum and are highly durable. It’s also splash, water, and dust resistant! The iPhone Pro and Pro Max are made of titanium, making them the lightest iPhone Pros ever, and they come in black titanium, white titanium, blue titanium, and natural titanium finishes.
There’s a new feature called Dynamic Island where important notifications will stay on the top of the user’s screen so,”…you don’t miss them while you’re doing something else. You can track your next ride, see who’s calling, check your flight status, and so much more.” Along with this new feature, the new iPhone will have The Super Retina XDR display that is up to twice as bright in the sun. StandBy is also a new display feature that will allow the user to see the time, photos, or widgets, from a distance while the iPhone is charging.
The new 48MP camera has 3 zoom levels (2x, 1x, and .05x) with a night mode (optimal for taking pictures in the dark), Smart HDR (optimal for taking pictures in bright or uneven lighting), and an autofocusing front camera. Videos are in 4K HDR and can be taken in “…Action mode to steady a really shaky handheld shot.” or in “4K Cinematic mode to automatically shift the focus to the most important subject in a scene.” The iPhone 15 pro has a 3x telephoto zoom, and the Pro Max has a 5x telephoto zoom.
The iPhone 15 is ready for longer days with its extended battery on video playback. The battery life is up to 26-hours on the iPhone 15 plus, and 20-hours on the iPhone 15. This new lifespan is up to 3 hours more than the iPhone 12.
The iPhone’s A16 bionic chip allows it to have the new advanced features. Photos, phone calls, smoother graphics, and a greater battery life are all being upgraded. This GPU is 40% faster than the iPhone 12. The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max have a powerful A17 Pro Chip.
Other important features include the Precision Finding for other iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Plus users. Precision Finding has a 3x greater range. There will also be a roadside assistance that uses satellite and is available free for two years after purchasing an iPhone 15. Users can send a text to roadside assistance, answer a few questions, and AAA will be sent to them right away.
On the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, the Action button that was previously used to switch between ring and silent can now be used to access camera, magnifier, flashlight, and more.
These features can all be found on the Apple website. This new phone began pre orders on September 15th and will be available for purchase on September 22nd.
