TUCSON EARTH DAY FESTIVAL: On Saturday April 22, 2023 there will be a Tucson Earth Day Festival at the Children’s Museum Tucson, 200 S. Sixth Ave. It’s free to attend and for all ages. At the festival, we celebrate Earth Day by learning about recycling, composting, gardening, and nature hosted by Children’s Museum Tucson. See exhibits from wildlife groups and enjoy kid-friendly activities.

TUCSON ASTRONOMY FESTIVAL: Go to Brandi Fenton Memorial Park, 3482 E. River Road from 3 pm until 9 pm on Saturday, April 29 for solar observing, followed by stargazing after dark. There will be astronomy-themed family-friendly activities and prizes! It’s free to attend and for all ages.

DUCKY’S BAKE SALE: Ducky’s is well known for their air-fried pineapple banana bread and they’re hosting a bake sale! Find some delicious treats from home bakers Ducky’s, Bolita Bakery, Sweet Vivi’s, Cal’s Bakeshop, Novia’s Bakery and Chez Peachy. This event is from 1-5pm on Saturday, April 22 at Thunder Canyon Brewery, 220 E. Broadway. It’s free to attend but bring money for food.

DESERT AIR MARKET: This pop-up market will be run by local makers and creatives. You could find more than 40 vendors with items like jewelry, stained glass, candles, and more. Food trucks will be there, too! It starts at 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 22 at Bhava Wellness, 439 N. Sixth Ave. It’s free to attend but bring money for shopping.

TUCSON ROYAL PRINCESS BALL: Children can attend this royal ball to meet with princesses, watch fun performances, listen to stories, play games, and learn some ballroom dance moves at 10 a.m. Sunday, April 16 at Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, 7060 S. Tucson Blvd. It costs around $20-$35 to attend. The event is shifted toward kids ages 3-7.

MINI-MASTER LEGO BUILDING COMPETITION: Come and watch as teams create masterpieces, surrounding a mystery theme, with LEGOs! Emily and Liam, who were featured in a recent season of the TV show “LEGO Masters” will judge this contest. This event starts around 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 15 at Tucson Botanical Gardens, 2150 N. Alvernon Way. Audience viewing is included with garden admission, which is $15 for adults and $8 for kids.

CRAWFISH BOIL: Go to FireTruck Brewing Company for crawfish from New Orleans. A ticket to the event includes a pound of crawfish, a potato, corn, Andouille sausage and Cajun dirty rice. This event goes from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 29. Tickets MUST be purchased in advance, each ticket costs $19.95.

EARTH DAY ART EVENT: Spend the afternoon creating upcycled artwork like beads from magazines, painted secondhand fashion, and sculptures made of found objects at Udall Park, 7290 E. Tanque Verde Road. All materials will be provided! It goes from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 22. The cost will be $35. This event is for ages 12 and up. Kids must be with an adult.

“A BUGS LIFE” AT TOHONO CHUL: Catch a screening of “A Bug’s Life” at Tohono Chul. Popcorn, cotton candy, and drinks will be available. The event will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 21. It will cost $4 to attend, and bring extra money for the snacks. Available to all ages.

PIMA COUNTY FAIR: Dig in to some awesome fair food, hop on the rides, play carnival rides, and more at the Pima County Fair. Concerts this year include Lil Jon, Uncle Kracker, Jeremy Camp, Ginuwine, and more. This event will begin on April 20-30. General admission is $10 for adults, $6 for kids ages 6-10. Parking is $7.
