I’ve been interested in philosophy since 8th grade, so it’s no surprise I’ve accumulated quite a bit of books (and knowledge!) on the topic. Philosophy is really fun to study, and I’d like to go into academia and teach it.

I like graphic design, as well as painting minifigures. I’ve a set of warhammer figurines that I cut out, assemble, and paint. On my computer, I like to photobash and design graphics to accompany my own endeavors in creative writing.

Giving people gifts tends to be fun, too. At the start of senior year, I gifted some of my teachers with items I thought they’d like based on what we talked about. Here’s Miss Tuli with Twin Fantasy, an awesome album by Car Seat Headrest!

Getting news from the U of A is great! I’ll be an incoming philosophy major this year and I’m looking forward to my time at the university.

My favorite thing to do is read. I’ve got a huge collection of books that I’ve barely made a dent in, but I intend to read through all of them and more. I like philosophy, metaphysics, politics, and poetry most of all.

Reading and writing go hand-in-hand, and since I’m an editor for The Paper Cut, it should be obvious that I like to write. As a kid, my dad would force me to do creative writing before I could use my laptop, then he’d correct my grammar and spelling. Since then, I’ve always found myself in projects that utilize writing extensively. World-building projects, short stories, essays, notes, articles, all of these I’ve written without a motivator other than the sake of writing them.

Big fan of whimsical items with odd auras. I like to take pictures of quirky creations that illicit a fanciful feeling. In this picture, a Christmas tree ornament. What is he thinking?

One of my hobbies and passions is graphic design and photography. I’ve been using photoshop for years and I’ve recently broken into photography. Attached is one of the first serious images I’ve taken, a pretty bad composition, but it was made in a rush.

Cooking is something I’m relatively decent at, and one of my favorite dishes to make is poutine. Gravy, cheese curds, and fries — a combination only the Quebecois could dream up, something that too much of will have you reeling from a heart attack. Poutine is my comfort food and it’s a darn good one.

I’m pretty attentive to what I wear, and I enjoy dressing up. I browse Pinterest for ideas all the time, and having built experience first with drawing inspiration from others, building experience with mixing and matching, and paying attention to the details, one gets an eye for which article works best with which article.
