3. The Conjuring

In The Conjuring, Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga) and Ed Warren (Patrick Wilson) are approached by a mother whose family is being terrorized by a demonic entity. Throughout this horror film, you can always find little “Easter Eggs” relating to other movies in the conjure verse. This along with other very important technical aspects of the movie make The Conjuring so much better than it would be without them. With many fright-filled moments, this film is made for you to be sitting on the edge of your chair in fear and anticipation.

2. Annabelle Creation

Annabelle Creation explains the origins of the Annabelle doll and how it came to be. When a group of orphans and their caretaker move into an elderly home with a secretive couple, they experience some strange events. When one of the orphans discovers an old doll, the truth of the dark history unfolds. When something demonic starts causing havoc in the household, the rush to defeat the evil is more stressed than ever before. This movie is filled with mysterious plot twists and demonic occurrences.  Annabelle Creation is for sure to make you bewildered by the frightening that takes place in this horror movie.

1. The Conjuring 2

Directed by James Wan, although dealing with some similar aspects, Conjuring 2 is not at all like the original horror film that got people sitting on the edge of their chairs. In this cinematic masterpiece, Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga) and Ed Warren (Patrick Wilson) make their way over to England to investigate an evil entity haunting a mother and her four children. From the jump scares and the unexpected twists, this movie is made to keep you entertained and on edge.
