Kevin Hart Needs Some “Me Time”
September 15, 2022
A new comedy movie titled Me Time came out 2 weeks ago on Netflix. The Netflix summary for this movie is: “With his family away, a devoted stay-at-home dad enjoys his first me time in years by joining his hard-partying old friend on a wild birthday adventure.”
The director chose an amazing cast for this movie. Kevin Hart plays Sonny Fisher, and Mark Wahlberg plays Huck.
The other main characters are Maya Fisher (Sonny’s wife) who is played by Regina Hall, and Dash (their son), who is played by Che Tafari.
This movie is rated R and is about an hour and 45 minutes long. Since it only came out 2 weeks ago, it was #2 on Netflix as of September 9th, and then was #5, as of September 12th. Since many movies are blowing up on Netflix right now, it is now #9 as of September 13.
My favorite part was when Sonny, Huck, and their Uber driver go to Sonny’s “enemy’s” house to “destroy” it. While they are there, they do things like delete his recorded shows, pour out all of his spices, turn the heat up in his wine cooler, and take all of his left shoes. This was my favorite part because it was the only time I was actually cracking up laughing. I would have never thought of something like this when I’m upset with someone, so I was happily surprised.
I would rate this movie 3.5 stars. Since it was put as a comedy movie, I was expecting to laugh almost the whole time, especially with Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg as the stars, but unfortunately, I wasn’t. Looking at the movie as a whole, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Me Time had a very interesting and unique storyline, with a few ridiculous added moments here and there, and a great ending. Even though the laughter didn’t live up to my full expectations, I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys movies with a lot of chaos but also a little bit of love and friendship reality.
