Not sure what to do this fall? It’s right around the corner and there are many fun events going on in Tucson this year.

The perfect place to go pick pumpkins and have a good time is the Marana Pumpkin Patch & Farm Festival. They have attractions including a jumping pillow, diesel train, farm play land, and the cornado swing. If you’re interested in animals they also have pig races, a petting zoo, and a pony ride for $7 with a 75 lbs weight limit. They have multiple extra fee activities like a pumpkin/apple canyon for $1 per shot. They also have a zipline for $10 with a 200 lb weight limit. If you want to take a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch it costs $0.50 per pound. They’re open from October 2nd to 31st on Thursdays, Fridays from 3 to 8pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to 8pm. Weekdays it’s $15.00 for weekly admission and on weekends it’s $17.00.

If you like horror, you’d love the Buckelew Farm Terror in The Corn. They’ve been voted Tucson’s best haunted attraction for many years. Something exciting for a group of friends or family to do is an escape room attraction where you solve puzzles and figure out clues to try to escape a frightening school bus. They have an attraction called “Field of Screams” where you walk through a dark and “haunted” cornfield. One of their attractions is called “Circus of Horror” and is filled with 3D effects and killer clowns attempting to terrify you with their twisted smiles and maniacal laughter. General Admission starts at $25.00 + tax and the fast pass starts at $35.00 + tax. They open October 1st and every weekend night through Halloween, including select Thursdays and Sundays and on Halloween night.

From October 8th to the 10th you can go downtown for the Tucson Meet Yourself Festival. It’s a free event where you can experience varieties of music, artisans, dancers, food, and special exhibits that celebrate our Southern Arizona. They’re going to have food from more than 30 cultural communites. For those who may be worried about social distancing and COVID, this event follows COVID measures for the saftey of you and others. When it comes to art, this event will have 5o folk artists sharing manual and visual arts, and select artists will share work and process in demonstration tents for short periods of time. This year there will be two stages showcasing more than 60 performance groups and dances from over 3o cultural regions.

The Mt. Lemmon Ski Valley Oktoberfest is an event that would be fun for your whole family. It will be the last two weekends in September and the first two weekends in October. There will be music played by the Musikmeisters band and there will be lots of fun and dancing. Usually there’s beautiful fall colored views at Mt. Lemmon Ski Valley in Coronado Nation Forest. They have a sky ride that runs during the event and the resturant, The Iron Door, is open during regular hours. Tickets are sold at the resort and not online. If you want to be there all day, prices start at $60 for adults (13 and up), $30 for children, $50 for military, $50 for seniors, and those that are 70 years or older are free. For a half day (after 12;30) it’s $55 for adults, $25 for children, $45 for military, $45 for seniors.
