Stephen Curry is widely known as the best shooter in NBA history, but he might also be giving players like Magic Johnson and Oscar Robertson a run for their money in the best point guard of all time race. He’s been on an absolute tear over these past few weeks, setting records left and right. This is one of the biggest runs by a player in recent memory. No one’s been able to stop him. Breaking James Harden’s record for most three pointers in a month with 83 in April, Kobe Bryant’s record for most consecutive 30 point games by a player 33 or older. Even becoming the Warriors all-time scoring leader a couple weeks ago, snatching that crown from the historic Wilt Chamberlin.

Even though he was the first ever unanimous MVP in NBA history in 2016, this could be his best season yet. He averaged 30.1 points, nearly 7 assists, and 5 rebounds that year. So far this year, he’s averaging 31.3 points (38.1 this month), almost 6 assists, and 5.6 rebounds. He’s sparked the Warriors playoff chances with this run, leading them to a 7-3 record in their last 10 games. Bringing them to 31-30 on the year. Curry’s been creeping back into the MVP race as well. NBA.com has him at number 5 in the latest MVP ladder.

Stephen Curry has, for some reason, been underrated this year, but his April Avalanche has put people on notice. Not only is he the best Warriors player of all time, but he could be the best point guard of all time.
