Yearbook class has been working swiftly to put together this year’s yearbook amidst a challenging pandemic restricting large gatherings, including school. Ms. Olstad, the sponsor of yearbook, has worked especially hard in her first year of running yearbook with the help of her students, virtually. “The biggest challenge is getting our students to submit pictures! We hope that everyone will help us out and send us great content,” Ms. Olstad said. “We are very excited about the new tools that our publisher has created. Especially the application students can now download on their phones, Yearbook Snap.”

This year there will be some fun feature sections including: Sahuaro siblings, Cougars at Work, Student Bands, Summer Vacations, Weekend Warriors, and more. Please send photos using the Yearbook Snap app.

The price for a yearbook this year has been lowered to $75 and there will be an extra late fee of $10 if you put your order in after spring break, so make sure to sign up for your yearbook here.

As for pictures, Mr. Cephers and Ms. Emrich had created a very thorough plan where students will fill out a virtual form to reserve an appointment slot for  picture days February 16th, 17th, and 18th. Sign up here.

Students will drive up to the North side of the theatre for drop off and enter there. They will then walk through to have their pictures taken, then they will exit out of the east door for pick up. There will be two photographer stations and each photo is estimated to take forty seconds. Inside will be socially distanced markers for everyone to wait in a queue until they are called. Masks are of course required in order enter and exit. Faculty and staff will not have a separate time of day to get their pictures taken.

If anyone is uncomfortable with attending, it is asked that you submit your own pictures through the drop box on the Yearbook Snap App- code SHSCougars21. (See featured image for more info.)
