Avenge the Sith Lord
December 8, 2020
Dave Prowse, the actor known for playing Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy, passed away on Sunday, November 28th, 2020. He died at age 85 from a short illness.
Prowse was a former body builder who became an actor. When given the choice between playing Chewbacca or Vader, he chose Vader because “Everyone remembers the villain,” and that statement is true, even in death. Although Prowse wore the suit, it was actually James Earl Jones who voiced Darth Vader. “Prowse’s West Country English accent was thought to be unsuitable for the part,” said CNN.
“It’s with great regret and heart-wrenching sadness for us and million of fans around the world, to announce that our client Dave Prowse MBE has passed away at the age of 85,” said agent Thomas Bowington.
“So sad to hear David Prowse has passed. He was a kind man & much more than Darth Vader,” said Mark Hamill who played Luke Skywalker.
Prowse was a man of many talents and accomplishments, but he will always be remembered as the Sith Lord and the force will always be with him.
