Katelyn Lacoy and Philip Burish, both Seniors, won the esteemed title for Homecoming King and Queen. But they didn’t expect it at all.

When asked if she’d always wanted to be Homecoming Queen, Katelyn replied, “We weren’t planning on running at first!”

But she says she was glad that she did regardless, because “winning was really fun.” She and Philip have been together for 2 years, and when asked why she thought people voted for her, the longevity of their relationship seemed to play a big part.
