Popeye’s is Being Sued For Their Chicken Sandwiches… Seriously
September 10, 2019
We can’t please everyone, even if we really want to, we can’t. Even if you thought everyone was on board with the famous Popeye’s chicken sandwich, surprise surprise, they’re not. It’s not because we don’t love this amazing chicken treat, its simply because we love it TOO much.
“I can’t get happy; I have this sandwich on my mind. I can’t think straight,” Chattanooga-area resident Craig Barr told the Times Free Press. “It just consumes you.” Barr thinks Popeye’s is using fake advertisements for a sandwich that isn’t even available to the public. “For Barr, the damage had already been done. In his lawsuit, Barr accused Popeye’s of “false advertising, deceptive business practices,” and “countless time wasted driving to and from Popeye’s,” WTVC reported.”
Craig’s original response was not to file a law suit, he simply left and came back later to see if “his fate would change” sources said. When nothing changed he found himself searching online. Craig came across and ad stating that if he paid $24 he would receive his chicken sandwich; he paid the money and never received his meal. Unfortunately, the ad is no longer on the website. Craig Barr is seeking $5,000 in damages, according to the lawsuit filed in Hamilton County General Sessions Court.
