You know them from “The Last Song” – ever since this 2010 film Miley and Liam have been on and off.  Finally on December 23 of 2018, they put a ring on it and were gonna live happily ever after, or so we thought. On August 10th, the couple make their split official, and Miley was spotted with Kaitlynn Carter (Brody Jenner’s ex-wife) kissing on a yacht a few days later. After the announcement, it’s said that Miley really worked hard to keep the relationship going but simply couldn’t “handle it any longer.” Sources claimed Liam has drinking problems and is addicted to pills; however, the type of pill was never specified.

Fans believe “Slide away,” Miles’s new song, is about Liam since she mentions the beach and city lights. The song continues with saying, “Move on, we’re not 17 / I’m not who I used to be / You say that everything changed / You’re right, we’re grown now.” Cyrus was around 17 when she met Hemsworth in 2009. Besides her message- filled songs, she has also been incredibly vocal on social media about their split.

Although the rumors state that Miley was the cause of the split, it was Hemsworth who filed for divorce stating it was “unconscionable.” Besides the divorce documents he has only made one public comment, which stated, “Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward.” I guess you could say their split really hit us like a wrecking ball, but we can only wish them the best.
