Why is Netflix Taking Even More of My Money?!
May 1, 2019
Netflix used to be great for having all of the best shows at a low price. Well… that may not be completely true anymore… they’ve decided to raise their prices higher due to the fact that they have been coming out with their own original TV series/movies. The increase in price is also to pay popular companies to add their movies and shows to Netflix.com.
The basic plan will rise just one dollar per month, making the basic plan $9. The standard plan that includes HD streaming on two devices and will increase two dollars from $11 to $13 per month. The premium plan will also increase two dollars, making it $14 per month. So, let’s do the math. For the basic plan, you will be paying around $110 a year; the standard plan costs $156, and the premium plan will cost $168 yearly.
Netflix has come out with some good original movies and shows like Bird Box, To All The Boys I Love Before, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and The After Party.
They’ve also added older movies like 16 Candles, Pretty in Pink and Heathers. Unfortunately, Netflix has taken away the best Disney shows that I used to watch when I was little. đ
In my opinion, Netflix kind of disappoints me now because I can’t really find anything to watch now and the new shows that they add, aren’t as good compare to the shows back then. Movies/shows now doesn’t really make me think, “Wow, that was a good movie,” or “I would totally watch that again.” My cousins went to Mexico not that long ago, and they told me that the Netflix there is great because they have Hannah Montana, Suite Life of Zach and Cody and all of the shows that I mentioned earlier that Netflix has taken away. The fact that they raised the price kind of makes me think that it’s not really worth it anymore.
