The Mola Mola Sunfish Doesn’t get Enough Appreciation
April 3, 2019
The sunfish has gained a negative reputation over the past couple of years, mostly due to the fact that a man on Facebook completely trashed the Mola Mola. He basically wrote an essay explaining how useless the sunfish was, and how it is a waste of space that just keeps reproducing. “And this concludes why I hate the **** out of this complete failure of evolution, the Ocean Sunfish. If I ever see one, I will throw rocks at it.” Marine biologists have went on to dispute some of the arguments Scout Burns had to say, even saying that they’re awesome. My attention was redirected to the large sunfish after a tweet was posted by @41Strange (I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ACCOUNT)
‘Swimming with a Mola Mola, the largest bony fish in the world’
Obviously I was in awe of the size, and how strange it looked, so it made me think of how I’ve never seen the fish before like this. I’ve seen pictures here and there of the sunfish, but it was never in this capacity. This caused me to research the creature, and manage to tell everyone how cool it is.
