On January 8th, the current wealthiest person on Earth, Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon and his wife, Mackenzie, announced their divorce after twenty-five years of marriage. And Bezo’s soon to be ex-wife, journalist, and writer Mackenzie Bezos is about to be the richest woman on Earth. Most of his wealth comes from his sixteen-percent ownership in the eight- hundred-million-dollar-valued companies, Amazon and The Washington Post, which he personally bought back in 2013.🤑

Bezos currently sits at 134.9 billion and an even split of that would give Mackenzie a whopping 67+ million, kicking Francoise Bettencourt Meyers, the granddaughter of the founder of  L’Oreal with a net worth of 45.6 billion off of her richest woman title. But even if Mackenzie gets a one percent cut of the fortune, she will still pocket at least 3 commas.

People are anticipating the harsh settlement after “steamy” texts between him and his mistress, Lauren Sanchez was released. The texts were sent in the spring of last year and have very illicit wording that has made everyone choose Mackenzie’s side of the divorce. The mistress, Lauren Sanchez is currently married to Patrick Whitesell, a powerful Hollywood talent agent. Sources close to both Bezos and Sanchez say that they separated from their spouses back in the fall of 2018 which makes it clear that there was an affair going on.

The new couple is reported to be moving in together soon, as they are in the soon-ending honeymoon phase of their relationship.
