Chris Brown Rape Allegations Leads to Lawsuit
January 29, 2019
Chris Brown has faced backlash from the media countless times, from abusing Rihanna to stalking Karrueche – this artist has gained a bad reputation over the years. On January 22, while the rapper was in Paris, a woman accused Brown of rape which resulted in the detainment. The woman described the rape as “brutal.” She says that Chris Brown and 2 others raped her for 25-30 minutes in his hotel room. Some point out that the woman’s story doesn’t add up for some points, but it is known that trauma can alter memories. He and two others from his entourage were arrested for aggravated rape and drug violations. He was eventually released 48 hours later from French custody, with no charges to his name seeing as the police had a hard time getting the woman’s story straight.
Amid the back-and-forth, Chris Brown decided to re-release clothing mocking the accuser – which most people had a problem with.
Regardless if Brown committed the crime or not, this shirt will most likely be worn by those who did commit rape to diminish their victim’s allegations. Two days after this detainment, Brown decided to sue his accuser for defamation of character while denying all allegations stating that he is an “easy target for anyone to cry wolf.”
