It’s The Most Wonderful Concert of the Year
December 13, 2018
The weather outside is frightful, because soon it’s time for finals, since we’ve no where to go, Winter Show, Winter Show, Winter Show!
Between the holidays and finals, this is a stressful time of year, and one fun way to ease all that panic away is to sit back and relax, enjoying a wonderful holiday concert from our Fine Arts classes. This year, much like very year, the show was well done, well rehearsed, and very entertaining. The concert featured the symphonic chamber and beginning orchestras, wind ensemble, marching band, advanced guitar, advanced choir, mixed beginning and the all female Choraliers, each playing songs such as Silent Night, Carol of the Bells, You’re a Mean One Mister Grinch, Fruitcake, and We Three Kings, as well as a wonderful performance of Africa by Toto, and our very own fight song!
“We worked very hard on this and are very glad you all could make it,” Mr. Marrs, (the Orchestra teacher) said at the beginning of the concert. One very unexpected performance was the singing of You’re a Mean one Mister Grinch, by Mr. Green, the guitar teacher. The surprised faces throughout the audience really showed what we all were thinking about the amazing performance. The choir’s very anticipated performance of Fruit Cake, definitely was as good, even better, than the previous performances.
All in all, those 45 minutes we spent, were well spent. Happy holidays!
