That’s right! There is a new movie theater that just opened on Houghton and Broadway.

This big, luxury movie theater was opened on November 1, 2018 and is one of 13 other movie theaters opened across the State. Galaxy Theatres Luxury+ Tucson is a new addition to Tucson’s developing east side. This movie theater is said that is like Roadhouse Cinemas, where you sit in comfy lounge chairs and order your food from the seats.

They serves food items like beer, wine, pizza, pretzels, hot dogs, soda, and of course popcorn. Oddly, they are not currently on Fandango, but to purchase you can go directly to: https://www.galaxytheatres.com/Locations/19

Frank Rimkus, the CEO of Galaxy Theaters, said, “We are thrilled to open our first Arizona location in Tucson. Our goal is to provide exceptional costumer service so that our guests feel welcomed and comfortable in our theater. We’re excited to be a place where people can come relax, enjoy a movie, and create memories.”
