Back in 2013 Tiger Woods won The PGA.  Then, unfortunately due to various back pains, he had to take a break  “… I didn’t think I’d ever play again,” recalled Woods,.. “When you’re lying on the floor (writhing in pain), golf was the furthest thing from my mind.”

He has waited 5 years (more that 1,800 days) to get back to being number 1.  Finally on September 23 2018 at East Lake Golf Course in Georgia Tiger Woods won 11 under par, not to mention 2 strokes ahead of Billy Horschel (second place winner of The PGA Tour).

It was super unexpected for him to hit his way out of the sand trap… but he did. He missed the hole by several centimeters, settled for a par immediately after the win, he raised his arms up in victory and received a kiss from his girlfriend (Erica Herman).

After the match Woods said,  “It was just a grind out there, and I loved every bit of it.” He went on to say about his return to form … “At the beginning of the year, certainly, that was a tall order. But as the year progressed, and I proved that I could play, I found a swing and put pieces together. And, I knew I could do it again.”
