September 6, 2018
Viewers of a Netflix romantic comedy teen film “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” noticed the main character’s little sister drinking out of a small bottle along with every teenage girls’ heartthrob, Peter Kavinsky, also drinking it, making every girl want to try the mystery yogurt. Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo) had to drink the yogurt 30 times to make it perfect for the movie. Centineo actually liked the drink.
The yogurt company hasn’t been popular for a while but since it’s been featured in the movie, the Japanese yogurt company thinks that the drink will become more popular. The stock will increase to 2.6 percent in supermarkets around the world. The yogurt is a probiotic drink that has 50 calories and 11 grams of sugar. Yakult is available at Ralph’s, Sam’s Club, Walmart, and Amazon.
Since the popularity rise of the film, the yogurt has been flying off of grocery store shelves. Ever since the yogurt was noticed in the movie, everyone has been wanting to try it. The yogurt was talked about all over social media – mainly on Twitter. In the movie the yogurt is called “Korean Yogurt Smoothie”. A bunch of tweeters have been tweeting about how they’ve been drinking the drink since they were kids or wanting to get their hands on one because they have been sold out since the movie.
