“Big Bang Theory” Prequel?
March 15, 2017
Since 2007, many people have been obsessed with the CBS series Big Bang Theory. The show began with 2 scientists from Pasadena, California: Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki), Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) and Leonard’s pursuit for the girl next door, Penny (portrayed by Kaley Cuoco, whose character never had a last name). The show made its way to 10 successful seasons, including many high and low points such as Leonard and Penny’s wedding and, the introduction to a love interest for Sheldon, Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik). In September, the show reached 15.8 billion views at the beginning of season 10.
To say the most, many if not all, fans were also very sad to hear back on May 29th back in 2016, that the show would be coming to an end relatively soon but, according to CNN, on Monday May 13th, 2017, a new spin-off of the show is going to be released. The spin-off is going to be solely based on the life of 9-year-old Sheldon (a child genius) as he makes his way through high school. His character is said to be played by Iain Armitage; a young star currently airing on HBO’s Big Little Lies. This is said to air the coming fall from 2017-18.
