Why the Repeal of Obamacare Will be Deadly

Alex Stone, Entertainment Editor

Since the beginning of his campaign, Donald Trump has been adamant about the removal of the Affordable Care Act, or as it’s better known as, Obamacare. But according to two Harvard doctors, who for the last 30 years have studied health care plans and their effect on death rates, his eager removal of the ACA will cause the deaths of an average of 43,000 people. A year.
Currently, Trump has given no information on the health care he plans on introducing, only vague promises like “We will unleash something that’s going to be terrific.”
Although the ACA brought America to its lowest uninsured rate of all time, Trump claims that “It’s a disaster.” In a shocking report, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimates that over 18 million people will completely lose their insurance, with no replacement, within the first year of a repeal.
In his many condescending and lie-filled speeches, Trump claims he will make America great again, and many believed him. But is unnecessarily losing the lives of an average of 43,000 people annually great? If you find yourself knocking on heaven’s door, will your lofty President’s policies be there to help save you, or are they going to be the last nail in your coffin?
