El Chapo’s Conditions Too Strict?
February 8, 2017
El Chapo showed up to court in Long Island, NY on Friday, February 3rd, where his lawyers said his jail conditions are too strict. Really, we are talking about the Mexican drug lord, who has escaped prison twice. His lawyers reported that he is on 23-hour lock-down, that they do not give him water in their 3-hour meetings, and that they do not let him have any ‘direct’ contact with his wife Emma Coronel.
His attorney, Michelle Gelernt, states there are too many protective orders in his case. And a judge’s response to this was that they were “obviously taking special security measures,” CBS2’s Janelle Burrell reported. They want him to have access to his money and family. Personally, I think he has his right to drink water and to at least speak to his family, but on the other hand, I would not let him touch his money and he does need to pay for some or all of the damage that he has done. El Chapo declared himself not guilty. Really, we all know the things that he has done and he doesn’t have to keep lying. about it. Unless some New Yorker burrows him a new tunnel, I myself don’t see a way for him to get out of this mess. (foxnews.com)
