Russia Celebrates President Trump’s Inauguration
January 26, 2017
Adding more fuel into the high controversies with alleged Russia special relations with President Trump, Russia had been ecstatically celebrating his inauguration day (Jan. 20), revealing their hopes between nations. Russia, for practically the first time, celebrated an American president’s inauguration and met it with parties, the selling of Trump “matryoshka” nesting dolls and other “Trumpomania” trinkets in his image. Russia even had a company minting “In Trump We Trust” silver and gold coins to commemorate a new chapter in America and Russia’s history or detente. Not explicitly said, but in return, the Kremlin is hoping that the new President Trump would “ease sanctions, team up with them against Islamic State, and cut back NATO military activity near their borders” for them.
