Red Dead Redemption 2 announced by RockStar
October 25, 2016
Rockstar has revealed the title of the newest game in the Red Dead series, Red Dead Redemption 2, which will be released in Fall 2017.
A post on Rockstar’s website says the game will be, “an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland, the game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.” That multiplayer experience will most likely be Red Dead online, the name of which appeared to leak before the official trailer was even released.
The Newswire post lists only Xbox One and PS4 as the intended formats, which suggests a similar release model to Grand Theft Auto V, where a PC version was released over a year later. This also means it will not be released on the last generation of consoles, Xbox 360 and PS3.
The announcement fleshes out the teaser image, adding more detail to the faces and clothes of the characters included. Many fans of the original think the 7 people in the teaser image are John Marston and his old gang that you eventually have to hunt down in the original Red Dead Redemption. Meaning that the previous leaks that have shown proof that this game will be a prequel to the 2010 release, were in fact right. The leaked map points to the game being set slightly to the east of the original game.
Red Dead Redemption 2’s first trailer arrived last Thursday, October 20 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon for $59.99

Please write more articles on the topic of video games, it seems super nerdy but this article was one of the more interesting reads. Ps. Write something about Mass Effect Andromeda and how awesome it’s going to be!
