Marie Jennings, a junior, loves to volunteer outside of school, go for walks while listening to music, and make jewelry. This is her first year on The Paper Cut and she is very excited to be participating in the world of journalism. She has a fondness for writing and doodling and enjoys doing it in her free time. She also has a big appreciation for taking photos of nature, and her favorite flower is hydrangea. Her adoration for taking photos comes from a desire to preserve memories. Marie is part of a new club that just joined Sahuaro this year called the Link Crew, where they help freshman find their way around their new school.

When she graduates, Marie hopes to go to cosmetology school and become a hairstylist. She gained a love for doing hair in middle school when she started dyeing her hair. Her cousins, Paige and Ali, helped her do her own hair all the time; it became such an often occurrence that they called it ‘Paige’s Rachet Salon’.
