AP Testing Information

AP Testing has undergone numerous changes this year, all aimed at making this year’s test more affordable and accessible to students. But with all these changes, it’s been hard to keep up, so let’s break down the changes and requirements for all of you.

At the start of the school year students were informed that the school would not be able to offer free AP tests, but now thanks to approval from the Sahuaro High School Site Council and donations from the Sahuaro Cougar Foundation, “All students who are taking AP Exams will only need to pay the cost for one exam,” said Mr. Haynes. Your first exam will be $99, with $40 due by  November 1st to secure your test. The remaining balance must be paid by the end of winter break.

Tests can be paid for through Synergy or the TUSD Online Payment Portal. If you cannot pay online you can still pay physically by visiting the finance in person and depositing $40.

Important: “The expectation is that ALL students in AP classes will take the exam(s).” If you’re planning to drop an AP class, make sure you do it before the semester ends and notify Mr.Haynes in the counseling office before November 1st to avoid having your exam ordered. If you do not notify Mr. Haynes, the exam will be ordered and you will be charged a $40 cancellation fee.

If you have any questions about testing, please get in touch with Mr. Haynes via email, or by going to the counseling office and scheduling a time to talk to him. ([email protected]).
