Several UFOs Found Flying Over the US and Canada
February 16, 2023
US Fighter Jets have been working overtime this past month, having shot down four objects flying over our country and Canada. So far, not much is being divulged, as the country is patiently waiting for more information about these objects and the reason for their presence. This is the first time in the more than 65 years of NORAD’s (North American Aerospace Defense Command) existence that they have, “taken kinetic action against an airborne object,” as stated by General Glen VanHerck.
So far, only two of these “UFOs” have been claimed by a government, China. The Chinese government claimed that the first balloon was for “civilian research, mainly meteorological purposes,” but had been blown off course. They even said that they regretted that the balloon entered the US airspace. The US had to wait to shoot that balloon down until it was safely away from civilians over South Carolina, having entered the airspace in Montana. Many have criticized President Biden for: a. being TOO quick to shoot down the balloon, or b. taking too long to take action against the balloon. Biden claims that he, “had ordered the military to down the balloon ‘as soon as possible’ after he was briefed on the matter on Wednesday,” as stated by The Hill. In response to the aircraft being shot down, Moa Ning, a foreign ministry spokeswoman stated that their reaction was “unacceptable and irresponsible” and a “clear overreaction”. When a second balloon was spotted over Latin America, they admitted that it was also theirs. To turn the attention back to the US, China claimed that 10 balloons had come into their airspace in the past year; the US then denied the accusation.
With the surge in unidentified objects flying into our airspace, the country has questions. One is what is the cause of this surge? Melissa G. Dalton, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and Hemispheric Affairs said that this was most likely due to the fact that the government is simply noticing them more. Since the first balloon was spotted, they are on higher alert for these aircraft and adjusting their radar-filtering systems so they are made aware of the objects flying above us. Another commonly asked question is, are the objects alien ships? The probability of these aircrafts being extraterrestrials is low, but it is not zero. At this time there is not enough information about the aircrafts to say where they came from. Data is still in the analysis period, and until it has been combed through, or a country takes responsibility for it, our government simply does not know.
