  • Crazy Rich Asians is a film about a girl named Rachel that travels with her boyfriend, Nick, to his best friend’s wedding only to find that not only is Nick extremely wealthy, but he has quite a few disapproving family members. The history behind the making of this film is empowering; the author of the book refused to use roles that didn’t suit the proper race, as in they didn’t back down until someone accepted the use of Asian actors in the movie.
