Saudi Arabian Corruption Coming to an End?
November 8, 2017
In an attempt to make Saudi Arabia a better place to live, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman began a process of cutting corruption at the root by arresting various ministers, businessmen, and figures, such as Prince Alwaleed bin Talal. So far, the crown prince has detained a total of eleven princes, four ministers, and dozens of ex-ministers. All of these people were seen by him as crooked or dishonest.
President Trump supports the movement and posted on his Twitter, “I have great confidence in King Salman and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, they know exactly what they are doing.” He also added that, “Some of those they are harshly treating have been ‘milking’ their country for years!”
Many think that the change in the country will benefit Saudi Arabia, but many are also wary of the changes being made, and worried about the backlash that may come with it. However, the adjustments the crown prince hopes to make are extremely popular with the youth of the country. Regardless of what others think about the situation, Mohammed Bin Salman is going to do whatever he can in order to make his rule a good one.
