Has the Mystery of the Great Pyramids Finally Been Solved?

Archaeologists have done new research about the unknown construction for one of the Great Wonders of the World, the Ancient Pyramids. The Ancient Egyptians built the pyramids of Giza as a protective tomb for Pharaoh Khufu in 2600 BC. They had to transport 170,000 tons of limestone…but how?  It has been a known fact that they had to extract ginormous rocks eight miles away in the city of Tura, then granite in the structure had to be quarried 533 miles away in the city, Aswan.

Boats used to carry limestone have just been the beginning of the newly-found discoveries in the ancient country of Cairo. An ancient scroll of papyrus has been discovered holding clues of a ceremonial boat and waterways helped thousands of laborers carry tons of limestone down the Nile River. It reveals they had a canal system that allowed them to carry the 2.5 ton stones to an inland port a few yards away from the base of the beasts.
