What has been your best memory at Sahuaro?

My first day as a senior.

Mr. Patterson because his class is very interesting.

What are your plans after school?

I am going to college.

What are three fun facts about you?

I speak Spanish fluently, I can wiggle my ears, and I absolutely love my car.

What is your motto in life?

You can not trust everyone, but you cannot live distrusting all.

Name three of your idols/icons?

My grandmother, my parents, and the veterans.

If you could go back and change one thing about your high school career, what would it be?

The year I arrived at Sahuaro because I messed around and didn’t have very good grades.

Give your freshman-self advice in ten words or less.

Try hard, make your best effort and you will be fine.

Where do you see yourself in 15 years?

Working as an engineer in a big enterprise.

What do you feel has been/will be your legacy left here at Sahuaro?

That even the people who are foreign can do important things.

What’s the worst/most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you during or at Sahuaro?

At the beginning of the year, I couldn’t speak with anyone because I was shy and nervous because my English wasn’t very good.

When and why did you move to America?

I moved from a Catholic school in Mexico only 6 months ago. My dad was trying to bring us here when I was born and the papers weren’t ready until last year.

What’s the biggest difference between Catholic school and public school?

The freedom. At my old school we had to wear uniforms so it’s nice to be able wear what you want.

What is your favorite part about America?

I like the education here, the culture is interesting and the opportunities for the future are greater.

What were the hardest parts about moving to the US?

Learning the language and the society is a bit egocentric because no one really talks to you unless you affect them somehow.
