President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton both called for a peaceful transition of power, but democratic voters are struggling to come to terms with the outcome of this year’s election; most wonder if they can do anything to stop Donald Trump from going into the White House. The presidential office will not protect Trump from any lawsuits that have been filed against him now or when he is in office.

Trump University Fraud Trial: 

Trump is due on November 28th in court to defend himself against charges of fraud in a federal civil trial over the Real Estate Seminar Program at Trump University. University of Utah professor, Christopher Lewis Peterson, wrote an article stating Trump’s fraud had enough evidence for Congress to easily impeach him. “The U.S. Constitution has already determined that Trump’s alleged actions, if true, constitute fraud and racketeering… Congress would be well within its legal rights under the constitution to insist upon a president who is not a fraudster or a racketeer as defined in its own law.”

The Rape Lawsuit:

A woman has filed a federal lawsuit against president elect, Donald Trump, for raping her in the 1990’s when she was 13 years old. She dropped the suit near the final days of the election. The accuser was supposed to come forward in a press conference for the first time in L.A., but cancelled at the last minute after receiving death treats from the public. Alan Garten, Trump Organization vice president, told the New York Daily News that it was, “categorically untrue, completely fabricated and politically motivated.”

New York Attorney General’s Investigation of the Donald J. Trump Foundation:

Last month, Eric Schneiderman accused the Donald J. Trump Foundation of violating state law: The Trump Foundation solicited contributions in 2016 without having the permission to do so. Schneiderman had already filed a lawsuit against Trump University in 2013, however, Trump denied any wrong doing in the case.
